Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about running digital signage with SignBrite.

What is SignBrite?

SignBrite is a cloud-managed digital signage platform. It turns an inexpensive Raspberry Pi connected to any HDMI screen into a zero-touch signage player you control from your browser.

What hardware do I need?

A Raspberry Pi (Zero 2 W, 3, 4, or 5), a microSD card, and any TV or monitor with HDMI. No proprietary media player required.

How do I get set up?

Flash the SignBrite OS image to an SD card (or run our one-line installer on Raspberry Pi OS), boot the Pi, enter the pairing code, and upload your content. Most people are live in minutes.

How much does SignBrite cost?

Your first screen is free with no credit card required. Additional screens are $9/screen/month, month-to-month, with no contracts.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Content is cached on the device, so screens keep playing the last published content through Wi-Fi and power outages, then re-sync automatically when back online.

How do I update what is on screen?

Log in to the dashboard from any device, change your content, and it appears on every paired screen within seconds.

Can I manage multiple locations and screens?

Yes. Organize venues and devices under one account and control every screen — or target specific ones — from a single dashboard.

What kind of content can I show?

Digital menus, promotions, images, and media assets. You can schedule content by time of day and rotate between items automatically.

Is it reliable for unattended use?

Yes. The player is self-healing: it restarts the display after crashes, reconnects after network drops, and restores content after power cycles — with no error screens shown to customers.

Do devices get software updates?

Yes. Updates roll out over the air to your devices remotely, so the fleet stays current without on-site visits.
